Storage and Preservation

Caring for your jewelry is simple and quick! To keep your jewelry looking like new, avoid wearing your jewelry in the shower and swimming. Avoid storing your jewelry in the bathroom or humid environments, as this can lead to tarnishing. Try to store each piece its own airtight container or plastic bag to prevent it from tangling and scratching. Be sure to utilize the clasp to put on and remove necklaces. While our jewelry is created to last generations, pulling jewelry over your head stretches the chain and can separate the jump rings, causing your chain to weaken and break. We offer repair services for chain here

  Cleaning your Jewelry

Brass and sterling silver jewelry will naturally tarnish over time, causing a darkened patina. This is the nature of brass and sterling silver and this does not mean that your jewelry is defective. This can give your piece character, however, if you prefer a polished look, we recommend cleaning your brass and sterling silver jewelry with non-abrasive jewelry cleaners suited for each respective metal. Our favorite solution for jewelry tarnish are Sunshine Polishing Cloths, which can be purchased here

Care for Gold and Vermeil

We plate our jewelry with a thickness above the industry standard. Vermeil and gold-plated jewelry are plated with a generous amount of gold to withstand generous wear- these pieces cannot be cleaned with a sunshine polishing cloth or jewelry cleaners, as this will rub the plating off. To maintain the luster of your vermeil and gold-plated jewelry, simply wipe with a soft cloth. While gold plating and vermeil are amazing substitutes for fine jewelry, poor care will cause the plating to rub off sooner. Avoid swimming, harsh chemicals, and exposing your pieces to lotions and perfumes. After a while, gold plating will fade- this is not a defect but simply the nature of the process. We offer replating services here

Vermeil jewelry is an excellent option for long-lasting wear of your jewelry. It is a layer of gold that is at least 2.5 microns thick plated over sterling silver, and if cared for properly, your vermeil jewelry can last a lifetime. All of our vermeil and gold plated pieces come on a gold-fill chain.
